Anne Marie Towle

Managing Director

Anne Marie Towle joined Athena in 2008. She is a Managing Director in the Client Advisory Group and the firm's Senior Wealth Advisor. An experienced estate planning attorney and trustee, Anne Marie came to Athena from Choate Hall & Stewart LLP, where she managed the 13-attorney estate planning practice and advised clients on wealth transfer issues. Prior to that, she was with Hale & Dorr LLP for over 13 years, advising clients on all areas of estate and gift tax planning.

Anne Marie received her JD with honors from Duke Law School, and a B.S. in Accounting magna cum laude from Boston College. Anne Marie was recognized as a "Massachusetts Rising Star" in the area of estate planning and trusts in the 2006 issue of Boston magazine, and as a "Massachusetts Super Lawyer" and a “New England Super Lawyer” in the 2006 and 2007 issues, respectively.

Anne Marie is a member of The Boston Foundation’s Professional Advisors Committee, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education's Estate Planning Curriculum Advisory Committee and the Boston Estate Planning Council. She previously served as co-chair of the Boston Bar Association's Trusts & Estates Section and of its Estate Planning Committee.
