Jared Perry, CFA

Vice President, Athena Stonehorse

Jared Perry joined Athena Capital Advisors in 2011 and is Vice President and the portfolio manager of the Athena Stonehorse funds. Previously, he was a co-founder, Partner and the Chief Investment Officer of Stonehorse Capital Management, an emerging manager fund of hedge funds that was acquired by Athena Capital Advisors in 2011. Mr. Perry also served as an investment manager at DUMAC, LLC from 2004 - 2007, where he oversaw more than $1 billion in emerging manager hedge fund investments for Duke University. Prior to DUMAC, LLC, Jared worked in corporate cash management for the Duke University Health System (2002-2004) and also participated in the corporate financial training program for Circuit City Stores, Inc./Carmax, Inc. (1999-2002). Jared has a B.S. from Wake Forest University, The Wayne Calloway School of Business and Accountancy (1999). He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. Institutional Investor News named Jared as one of their ‘2009 Rising Stars of Hedge Funds.’
