Phil joined our research team to aid in the identification and evaluation of private equity investments. He is an active participant in manager due diligence meetings and brings a seasoned perspective to the process of manager selection. Additionally, he is an influential and useful resource in the construction of private equity portfolios that meet long-term goals.

 Mr. Cooper has 28 years of experience in alternative investments including co-founder and Managing Partner of Lincoln Vale as well as founding and leading the Goldman Sachs Private Equity Group to over $11 billion in assets, outstanding performance and international prominence. In addition, he has also been a founder and CEO of several technology companies. Phil serves on several non-profit investment committees and is a frequent industry speaker. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Phil received his B.S. from Syracuse University and an M.S. in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was an Alfred Sloan Fellow
