Randall
W. Byrnes joined the firm
in 2008 and is a Director
responsible for business
development in the Washington,
D.C. area and Florida.
Prior to
joining Athena, Randy was
active in private investments
in real estate, venture
capital and private equities.
Randy spent seventeen years
in the real estate development
business working for the
Boston- based Spaulding
and Slye Co., (now Jones
Lang LaSalle/Spaulding & Slye)
as Executive Vice President
and Regional Manager in
its Washington, D.C. office.
In this capacity, Randy
was responsible for some
$300 million of commercial
real estate developments
for the firm and its institutional
joint venture partners
in the Washington, D.C.
metropolitan area and oversaw
the company;s full-service,
in-house capabilities in
project development, financing,
construction, leasing,
and property management.
Prior to joining Spaulding & Slye,
Randy worked for the largest
real estate development
firm in Houston, Texas,
The Hines Interests.
Randy
has been a member of numerous
non-profit boards or corporations
including Belmont Hill
School in Belmont, Massachusetts,
The Potomac School in McLean
Virginia and The Community
School in Naples, Florida.
Additionally, he served
as Co-Chair and Co- Founder
of The Washington, D.C.
Scholarship Fund which
provides tuition assistance
for under privileged children
to attend private or parochial
schools in the Washington,
D.C. area. He is currently
on the Board of Advisors
of Monumental Venture Partners,
a Northern Virginia-based
venture capital firm. Randy
earned his a B.A. from
the University of Pennsylvania
and an MBA from Harvard
Business School. |
