Athena’s President David Lynch Discusses Fixed Income in FA Magazine
Athena Capital Advisors’ President and Deputy Chief Investment Officer David Lynch provided commentary on the fixed income market as part of a feature article appearing in Financial Advisor Magazine.
The article, authored by John Coumarianos and appearing in the November 23 issue of Financial Advisor Magazine, explored best practices for bond investors in an environment marked by global recessionary pressures abroad and a potential rising-rate environment in the U.S.
As a manager of managers, Lynch highlighted that the tax benefits inherent to municipal bond exposure make munis attractive, particularly for higher grade issues, and among corporate bonds, Lynch cited that opportunities remain in the high yield market, though patience is required as volatility grows. “Good managers can find good bonds,” Lynch highlighted.
